One of the earliest wineries in Santa Barbara County, the Mosby winery is located on the old Rancho de la Vega which derives its name from the Spanish “river bottom or meadow”. The Cuesta Adobe was built in 1853 by Dr. Roman de la Cuesta for his bride using lumber carried over the Gaviota Pass by oxen and mule. Bill Mosby and his sons carry on the family tradition of making great Cal-Ital wines from their estate.
