Tierras Altas

Lujan de Cuyo, Argentina Exclusively producing red wines, Tierras Altas focuses on Malbec, the varietal that has become synonymous with Argentinean wines around the world. The Tierras Altas winery was born with the aim of producing internationally renowned wines combing a new world spirit and Vargas Arizu family tradition. Three generations have dedicated their life to work in the vineyards and winery, turning their daily effort into a cult for wines that is evident in the quality of their products. The winery’s history began in the hands of Vicente Vargas Videla and Leoncio Arizu who knew how to preserve winemaking’s most precious treasure: the vineyards.

Tierras Altas is located at the foot of the Andes. Cold nights, altitude and cool winds make Lujan de Cuyo an ideal terroir for growing Malbec grapes. Thaw water from the Andes irrigates the vineyards, completing the natural process of this privileged land. Website: www.vargasarizu.com
