Distinctive blends from indigenous varietals of trentino, the intaglio wines express the different microclimatic zones within Trentino.
After an unprecedented project undertaken by the esteemed winemaking school of St. Michele along with the Dept. of Agriculture and Gruppo La-Vis, each microzone and vineyard were mapped out to determine the optimal grape variety and clone to be planted in each particular area. The term ‘Intaglio’ translates roughly to “know thyself” which parallels the extensive research done on the vineyards where the Intaglio wines are produced from.
