Bodegas y Viñedos Ponce is a family winery which was created in 2005 to showcase the potential of the Manchuela region and its indigenous grape varietal, bobal, fast becoming one of Apain’s most fascinating wines!
The family of Juan Antonio Ponce owns fifteen hectares of vineyards and operates and leases, another two dozen vineyards. In all of them, they only grow bobal, a dark ink varietal native to the area. Grown on vines that are 30 years to over 70 years old, the bobal grape produces an elegant wine with great structure, ripe fruit and lots of concentration ending with an elegant finish.
